Town of Noma Municipal Election – March 17, 2026

1/22/2026

The Town of Noma will hold a municipal election on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, for the purpose of electing members of the Town Council.

Seats on the 2026 Ballot

  • Seat 1 - Litermin Joseph, Mayor
  • Seat 3 - Betty Forthman
  • Seat 4 - Michael Hernandez (appointed to fill vacancy until the next regular election)
  • Seat 5 - Daniel Arrant

Why is Seat 4 included this year?
Seat 4 is included due to a vacancy appointment. Under the Town’s election procedures, when a vacancy occurs the Council appoints a qualified elector to serve until the next regular municipal election, and the seat is then filled by election at that next regular election.  Michael Hernandez was appointed to Seat 4 in December 2025.

Election Day (If Voting Is Necessary)

If voting is necessary, it will take place on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Noma Town Hall located at 3467 Skipper Avenue, Noma, FL. Voting hours will be from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Florida’s voter registration deadline (book closing) is 29 days before Election Day. For the March 17, 2026 election, the deadline to register (or update your registration) is Monday, February 16, 2026.

Voter Eligibility and Verification

How Noma’s Municipal Elections Work

Regular municipal elections are held on the third Tuesday in March of even-numbered years.

Winners are determined by plurality (the candidate(s) with the highest number of votes).

If there is a tie vote, the Town will hold a runoff election between the tied candidates within 30 days, on the earliest practicable date.

After the election, the Council selects a Mayor and Vice Mayor from among council members, as set out in the Town Charter.
